How to receive an SMS from online service

Still waiting for an SMS with a verification code from Facebook, Google, or WhatsApp on your virtual or SMS-enabled phone number? Still nothing?

First of all, there's nothing wrong with your virtual phone number.

Now, to figure out the case, you have to think about one significant question: "Why are online services asking you to verify the phone number?"

The answer is quite simple: "To keep their own user base clean and to use the verified phone numbers as a reliable security tool for login and confirmations."

Thus, it's easy to realize that virtual numbers are disposable, and thus unsecure. That's why online services prefer to avoid texting virtual numbers by hiding behind base responses like "incorrect number," "cannot text this number," "number was used before," etc.
